Transforming an Outdated CE Platform into a Thriving Veterinary Community

Industry
Veterinary Education
Challenge
Outdated content delivery system, minimal engagement, and a disconnected professional audience
Results
Within the first year of launch, the revamped platform attracted over 3,600 veterinary professionals, delivering dozens of high-quality CE courses across topics like internal medicine, dentistry, cardiology, and compassion fatigue. Mobile-friendly access made it easy for busy practitioners to learn on the go, while live Zoom sessions and peer-led groups significantly boosted engagement and community interaction. Strategic partnerships with veterinary associations expanded reach and helped position the platform as a go-to resource for education and connection—without the complexity of traditional systems.
This project was about more than modernizing a platform—it was about creating something truly useful for people who are constantly giving to others. We wanted to build a space that felt valuable, easy to use, and genuinely supportive. Seeing the response has been gratifying.

Our Approach
We focused on transforming what already existed into something significantly more accessible, efficient, and engaging. By marrying high-quality content with thoughtful community design, we built a scalable platform that not only delivered education—but fostered a sense of support and connection for professionals working in a high-stress, often isolating field.
The Challenge
A well-respected veterinary CE provider had built its reputation on in-person training, but its virtual education platform was outdated and difficult to use. Course materials were distributed through a legacy website store that emailed zip files and required users to print, complete, and scan tests manually. This cumbersome process limited engagement, failed to protect intellectual property, and offered no real connection between participants.
There was also a deeper, industry-wide need: veterinary professionals—especially those in general practice and mobile work—were often isolated, with limited access to modern peer support or community spaces. The challenge was clear: bring the platform into the present, expand offerings, and create a meaningful space for ongoing learning and connection.
The Solution
We reimagined the virtual education offering by consolidating content delivery, live interaction, and community engagement into a single, mobile-accessible platform. This included:
-
Launching a new membership-based learning environment with both free and paid options
-
Creating and curating RACE-approved CE courses across high-need topics like internal medicine, dentistry, cardiology, and compassion fatigue
-
Hosting live weekly Zoom lectures with open Q&A, followed by gated access to replays and downloadable content
-
Building out topic-based groups for peer connection and extended discussion
-
Partnering with veterinary associations and creating dedicated spaces to serve their members
-
Repurposing in-person lab attendees into private community groups for logistical support, pre/post-course communication, and ongoing networking
-
Conducting member surveys to align course development with real needs
Mobile accessibility allowed busy veterinarians and technicians to access materials on the go—whether referencing during a case or catching up on CE between appointments.
The Results
-
3,600+ members joined the platform in under 12 months
-
Dozens of CE courses delivered across diverse clinical areas
-
High mobile adoption, enabling easy access to content and peers
-
Strong engagement in niche subjects and mental wellness resources
-
Strategic partnerships formed with key industry associations, resulting in expanded reach
-
Evergreen content delivery model that reduced admin burden and increased value for members
The new education platform didn’t just improve the customer experience—it became a strategic driver of revenue across the business. By positioning education as a top-of-funnel trust-builder, the company was able to generate qualified leads for capital equipment and services without relying on traditional sales channels. In parallel, aligning the platform with sales, marketing, and customer support created measurable value across departments, transforming education into a high-impact growth engine rather than a siloed resource.
The Results
Within the first year, the newly launched platform attracted over 3,600 veterinary professionals and quickly became a trusted hub for continuing education and peer connection. But the impact extended far beyond membership numbers. Annual education revenue grew from under $10K to over $60K by year two—driven by an improved user experience, expanded course offerings, and the credibility fostered by the professional community. Many new members went on to purchase capital equipment or services from other divisions of the business, demonstrating the value of trust built through education-first marketing.
On the operational side, the move to a modern platform dramatically reduced internal workload. Cumbersome paper-based testing was replaced with automated assessments and built-in RACE reporting, saving significant staff hours while delivering a seamless, mobile-friendly experience for veterinarians. The platform not only protected copyrighted material more effectively, but also elevated the company’s reputation and reach—positioning it as a forward-thinking leader in veterinary education.
